“Am I allowed to say ‘fuck’ on Netflix?” Robert Sheehan asks at one point in this utterly delightful Umbrella Academy blooper reel. The answer seems to be no, given that little birds (sparrows, one assumes) blot out all swears—even the middle fingers Colm Feore holds up at one point.

But we don’t need swears to have a good time with these folks. Especially not when we’ve got creaky desks, stiff suits, a misbehaving treadmill, and a serious case of the giggles.

If you’ve not yet watched season three of The Umbrella Academy, I guess here there be spoilers—but only vague ones. The third season finds our moody heroes faced with a new kind of existential threat: After saving the world in the past, they return to their proper timeline to find they’ve been replaced, and that the world is still screwed. Their home is no longer the Umbrella Academy, but the Sparrow Academy, home to seven other superpowered buttheads that were adopted by Reginald Hargreeves (Feore). And things keep disappearing. What’s a dysfunctional superfamily to do?

The Umbrella Academy was recently renewed for a fourth and final season that will likely take altogether too long to appear on our screens, so this compilation of missed lines, troublesome props, and lost focus is a welcome treat to tide us over. If you’ve not yet met the gang, you can do so at any time on Netflix.
